Wichita, Kansas and on Zoom

A more methodical way to work through what's hard, together.

Reflect and Rebuild Counseling, in addition to individual counseling, offers small, single-gender groups for adults — a steady eight-week process of first reflecting on your life experiences, then rebuilding on a plan that fits your life and where you want it to be.

What we offer

Small groups, built for honesty

Groups stay small on purpose — four to eight people — so there's room for everyone to actually be known, heard, and listened to. Shane Geist, a student counselor, leads a Men's Group and a Women's Group separately; the two are never combined.

Two tracks, same care

A Men's Group and a Women's Group run on their own schedules, with topics and tone shaped around each group's experience. Neither group is ever mixed with the other.

In person or by Zoom

Meet at the Wichita office at the NE corner of 1st Street and Mead Street, or join by Zoom if travel, scheduling, or location makes that work for you. Shane runs both formats and you choose what fits.

A clear eight-week arc

Every cycle moves through two phases: first reflecting on your life experiences, then rebuilding on a plan that fits your life and where you want it to be. Specific plans, designed by you, that you can actually follow through on.

Our approach

Reflect first. Then rebuild.

The first four sessions are about reflecting on your life in a safe environment — being listened to without judgment, getting to know the people sitting beside you, and letting them to get to know you. Yes, this can be uncomfortable, but that is part of what makes it work.

The last four sessions shift toward the action of rebuilding, using a simple framework for figuring out what you want, what you're actually doing, whether it's working, and what to try instead.
